As many of you will have noticed over the past few weeks, the images and links have disappeared from this Forum. This is a direct result of my recent decision not to renew the Web Hosting Package for the Bucks Fizz Early Years Website. I have been thinking for some time about winding down the site for a number of reasons. These mainly are around lack of views and interest, and the newly formed Facebook environments which are able to offer both information and Forum type solutions and where most fans now tend to migrate.
This is not a decision taken lightly. For the past few years, other opportunities and events have taken place in the Bucks Fizz world such as CD releases, which have renewed the interest in the group and have allowed me to contribute to their representation. That said, even these updates have been fairly insignificant and have only led to a few changes being made. Cheryl, Mike and Jay also have their own sites and Facebook pages, so the future for my site has long been in question, even by those who still visit.
Whilst I was aware that the links to the images would be removed from the Forum, I decided to let the Forum run on, predominantly unaffected by the Main Web Site. However, I have now decided that the Forum should now also close. It was intended to be an additional facility run in conjunction with the Web Site. I appreciate that there are many of you who still visit the Forum however, there has been a significant fall in the number of visitors and contributions over the past few years.
There is a lot of historic information on the Forum which has built up over the past 10 years and I am sure some of you may wish to look through this and keep things. Therefore, whilst contributions to the Forum will cease from 30th September 2014, the Forum will remain for View Only purposes for the remainder of the current calendar year. It will be deleted in January 2015.
May I take this opportunity in thanking each and every one of you who have contributed over the years and for your continued support to both the Forum and Web Site. The time has come to let the bubble burst. I would like to hope that I have certainly played a big part in keeping the Fizz name alive over the past few years and I hope that for us all, there is much more to come !!!!
Bucks Fizz will always be my Twentieth Century Hero's however, this is Where The Ending Starts......
