well second track down, and Magical is definately different, Is Shelley on it? The track sounds like it has more Echo on it, and a few extra drum beats here and there.
I'm likeing the London Town TV version, The Rules of the game TV version was a nice surprise for me as i thought it would be the same version used on Sunday Sunday, but it isn't so what programme was it featured on? maybe its just me, but it sounds as if Jay isn't on it, i can't hear her at all, Cheryl seems to be doing all the Female vocals for it, and it seems to go a little bit Reggae at the end too. plus the intro (the chimey bells bit) is missing from this version unfortunately, as i think that is the most reconisable thing about Rules, but saying that i do like it and i'm sure its gonna grow on me even more. would like to have seen this on TV though, out of the three TV versions, i personally think London Town is best (i like Jays "Getting into london bit), with Rules comming a close second, Are the TV versions all unused or have they been featured on ITV, as i've never heard any of them. and would love to know what TV shows they were used for.
Cheryl & Shelley's Version of Heart of Stone, is Stunning, i love it, thats all i can say about it, truly stunning, i love the new Arangement, No disrepect to Bob, but listening to the new version, i think the Girls should have originally recorded this song,
You and you heart So blue, is truely fantastic, already i'm likeing this new version, great to hear Shelley on it, and once again the new Arangement, is fantastic, brings it right up to date.
i'm not sure about making your mind up...yet, but i'm not really keen on the Eurobeat type of music anyway, so it doesnt quite do it for me, but i don't dislike it, and it has been remixed very well, with new music running through it. i'll have to have a few more listens first. i think its just a bit of a shock to hear it this way, i like the little bit at the end though, i take it it's Andy Hill.
Piece of the action extended, is very true and faithful to the actual track and it's how i imagined it would have actually been had it been given this treatment in the 80s, Dean has done a great job with this extended version.
London Town....IT'S ONLY A GIFT !!
Whats love got to do with it, is not really one of my favourite tracks because it is so Bobby heavy, and the others are deeply burried in the mix, but with this version Dean & Kev has bought out the others vocals more, and it gives the tracks a richer sound, and you can hear the harmonies and backing vocals are actually there, that you do not really hear on the original version, and for this reason i now like this track a lot more than i origally did. Great job Dean & Kev,
I quite like the Magical Extended version, it gives Magical a new feel, i need to have a few more listens, i'm sure i'll pick up on lots of great new things.
Thanks For this album Dean And Kevin, and thanks for your time and effort in making it a great 30th anniversary Album, as without you Sony might have just put out another best of CD.
Edited lots, so i can add new comments.
